Transnational money units refer to a type of currency that is used in multiple countries. The most common example of this is the Euro, which is used in 19 of the 28 countries in the European Union. The Euro is the official currency of the Eurozone, which consists of Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain.
