A Transcriber is a person who takes dictation, audio recordings, or written documents and converts them into written form. Stenographers, or Stenos, are a type of Transcriber who specialize in taking dictation and transcribing it into shorthand. Copyists are another type of Transcriber who specialize in copying documents, such as legal documents, into written form. Translators are also related to Transcribers, as they take written documents from one language and convert them into another language.
