A tournament type is a type of competition in which participants compete against each other. The three most common types of tournaments are OPEN, ProAm, and RoundRobin. OPEN tournaments are OPEN to all players regardless of their skill level. ProAm tournaments are competitions between professional players and amateur players. RoundRobin tournaments involve each participant playing against every other participant.
