Tornado clouds, also known as supercell thunderstorms, are a type of storm cloud that can produce tornadoes. They are characterized by a rotating updraft, which is created when warm, humid air rises quickly and creates an area of low pressure. The rotation of the updraft causes the air to spin, forming a funnel-shaped cloud. TUBAS is an acronym for the four components of tornado clouds: Thunderstorms, Updrafts, Bow Echoes, and Shear.
