The capital of Timor is Dili, a four-letter word. Dili is the largest city and the administrative, cultural, and economic center of East Timor. It is located in the eastern part of the country on the northern coast of Timor island. The city has a population of around 200, 000 people and is the seat of the Catholic Diocese of Dili. Dili is known for its Portuguese colonial architecture, as well as its beaches and nearby mountains.
