The term THREE-CARD MONTE (5 letters) and TREY (4 letters) refer to a CARD game that is also known as Find the LADY or Follow the LADY. It is a confidence trick in which the player is tricked into betting on a CARD that is not the one they think it is. The game is usually played with THREE cards, one of which is the 'LADY' or the CARD the player is trying to find. The other two cards are the 'TREYS' or decoys.
