Phil Lynott was the lead singer of the Irish rock band Thin Lizzy. He was born in England in 1949 and moved to Dublin, Ireland at the age of eight. He was the primary songwriter for Thin Lizzy and wrote many of their most popular songs, including 'The Boys Are Back in Town' and 'Whiskey in the Jar'. He was also known for his unique vocal style and stage presence. He died in 1986 at the age of 36.
