The BOHR Theory, in physics, is a model of the atom proposed by Danish physicist Niels BOHR in 1913. It states that electrons orbit the nucleus of an atom in discrete energy levels, and that the electrons can only transition between these levels by absorbing or emitting a specific amount of energy. This theory was a major breakthrough in understanding the structure of atoms and helped to lay the foundation for quantum mechanics.
