The Sugarhill GANG is an American hip-hop group from Englewood, New Jersey. They are best known for their 1979 hit single 'Rapper's Delight', which was the first rap single to become a Top 40 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The group consists of Wonder Mike, Big Bank Hank, and Master Gee. The Sugarhill GANG is credited with being one of the earliest hip-hop groups and helping to bring the genre into the mainstream.
