Anna Kournikova is a former professional tennis player and one of the most successful female players of all time. She was born in Moscow, Russia in 1981 and won two Grand Slam doubles titles during her career. She also reached the semi-finals of the singles tournament at the Australian Open in 1999. Kournikova was known for her beauty as well as her skill on the court, and she was named one of the '50 Most Beautiful People in the World' by People magazine in 2002. She retired from professional tennis in 2003 and has since become a coach and television presenter.
