Tap Troubles is a plumbing issue that occurs when a faucet or other water fixture is leaking. The term DRIPS is an acronym for the four main causes of tap troubles: Debris, Rust, Incorrect Parts, and Pressure. Debris can clog the pipes and cause leaks; rust can corrode the pipes and cause them to leak; incorrect parts can lead to improper installation and cause leaks; and pressure can cause the pipes to burst and cause leaks.
