The Tampa Bay Footballer, briefly referred to as a BUC, is the mascot of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, an American football team based in Tampa, Florida. The Buccaneers compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the NFC South division. The team was founded in 1976 and has won one Super Bowl championship in 2003. The mascot is a pirate wearing a red and black costume with a skull and crossbones on the hat.
