The Taking Woodstock director is Ang LEE, a Taiwanese-American film director, screenwriter, and producer. LEE is best known for his films Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Brokeback Mountain, and Life of Pi. He won the Academy Award for Best Director for his 2005 film Brokeback Mountain, becoming the first Asian person to win an Oscar in that category. LEE's other notable works include Sense and Sensibility, Hulk, and Lust, Caution. LEE's most recent work is the 2019 film Gemini Man.
