Action refers to the beginning of the story, when the protagonist is introduced and the plot begins to unfold. Reaction is the response of the characters to the events of the story. Climax is the most intense moment of the story, when the conflict reaches its peak. Resolution is the conclusion of the story, when the conflict is resolved and the story comes to an end.
