Storied Plantation is a term used to describe a large estate or plantation that has a long and rich history. The term is often associated with the American South, where many of these plantations were located. The most famous example of a storied plantation is Tara, the fictional plantation from the novel and movie Gone with the Wind. Tara was a sprawling plantation in Georgia owned by the O'Hara family, and it was the setting for much of the action in the novel and movie.
