A stiff drink is an alcoholic beverage that is usually stronger than the average drink. The term can refer to a variety of drinks, including a DOUBLE, which is a drink with twice the amount of alcohol; a BRACER, which is a strong alcoholic drink taken as a stimulant; a BELT, which is a large amount of liquor taken in one gulp; a MARTINI, which is a cocktail made with gin or vodka and vermouth; and a SNORT, which is a shot of hard liquor.
