Kent State University is a public research university located in Kent, Ohio. It was founded in 1910 as a teacher-training school and was later renamed Kent State College in 1935. The university was officially renamed Kent State University in 1963. It is the third largest university in Ohio and is part of the University System of Ohio. The university has eight campuses throughout the state and offers over 300 undergraduate and graduate programs.
