Stage work is a broad term that encompasses a variety of performance-based activities. It includes OPERA, which is a form of musical theatre in which singers and musicians perform a dramatic work combining text and musical score; plays, which are dramatic works written for the stage; acting, which is the art of performing characters in a PLAY or other work of fiction; and roles, which are the parts an actor plays in a production.
