Stan Lee was an American comic book writer, editor, publisher, and producer. He is best known for creating the iconic Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, as well as other popular superheroes such as the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, the X-Men, and the Hulk. Lee was inducted into the comic book industry's Will Eisner Award Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1995. He was also the chairman and publisher of Marvel Comics from 1972 to 1980.
