Cordoba is a Spanish city and province located in the autonomous community of Andalusia. It is the capital of the homonymous province and the second-largest city in Andalusia after Seville. The city has a rich history, having been founded by the Romans in the 2nd century BC. It was later conquered by the Visigoths and then the Moors, who left behind many architectural and cultural influences. CORDOBA is known for its beautiful architecture, including the Mezquita, a mosque-cathedral built in the 8th century. It is also home to the University of CORDOBA, one of the oldest universities in Europe.
