A sort of eclipse is an event that occurs when one celestial body passes in front of another, either partially or completely blocking the view of the second body. The two most common types of eclipses are lunar and SOLAR eclipses. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth passes between the Sun and the Moon, blocking the sunlight from reaching the Moon. A SOLAR eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth, blocking the sunlight from reaching the Earth.
