Renata Tebaldi was an Italian operatic soprano who had a long and successful career. She is widely considered one of the greatest sopranos of all time and was known for her beautiful voice and her passionate performances. She was born in Pesaro, Italy in 1922 and made her debut at La Scala in Milan in 1946. She went on to perform in many of the world's most prestigious opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. She retired from the stage in 1973 and passed away in 2004.
