Sonny and Cher are an American pop music duo who rose to fame in the 1960s. Sonny Bono and Cherilyn Sarkisian, known professionally as Sonny and Cher, were a popular singing and acting duo. They had several hit songs, including 'I Got You Babe' and 'The Beat Goes On'. They also starred in their own television variety show, The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour, which ran from 1971 to 1974. They were married from 1964 to 1975 and had one daughter, Chastity Bono.
