Otis Redding was an American singer, songwriter, record producer, and musician. He is considered one of the greatest singers in the history of American popular music and a seminal artist in soul music and rhythm and blues. He wrote and recorded such hits as 'Sitting on the Dock of the Bay' and 'Try a Little Tenderness'. He was also a prolific songwriter, writing or co-writing many of his own songs.
