Socialite Brooke ASTOR was a philanthropist and socialite from New York City. She was born in 1902 and was the widow of Vincent ASTOR, an American businessman, philanthropist, and member of the prominent ASTOR family. She was known for her charitable work and was a major benefactor of the New York Public Library. She was also a patron of the arts and was a major supporter of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She passed away in 2007 at the age of 105.
