A small centipede is an arthropod belonging to the class Chilopoda. It is a segmented creature with one pair of legs per segment, and typically has between 15 and 173 pairs of legs. An EARWIG is also an arthropod, belonging to the order Dermaptera. It has two pairs of wings and two pairs of cerci, or pincers, at the end of its abdomen. Earwigs are usually nocturnal and feed on plants, insects, and other small invertebrates.
