Slugger Willie is a nickname for the legendary baseball player Willie Mays. He was an outfielder and one of the greatest players in Major League Baseball history. He played for the New York and San Francisco Giants and the New York Mets from 1951 to 1973. He was known for his incredible hitting ability, earning him the nickname 'Slugger Willie'. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1979.
