Gelandesprung is a type of ski jump, which is a winter sport in which skiers go down a take-off ramp, jump and attempt to land as far as possible down the hill. It is one of the four disciplines of ski jumping, along with normal hill, large hill, and team events. Gelandesprung is the most difficult of the four disciplines, as it requires the skier to jump over obstacles such as fences and water pits.
