Skating leap is a figure skating move that involves jumping in the air and rotating one or more times. The most common skating leaps are the Axel, Lutz, and Bunnyhop. The Axel is a jump that requires the skater to take off from a forward outside edge and land on the same backward outside edge of the opposite foot. The Lutz is a jump that requires the skater to take off from a backward outside edge and land on the same forward outside edge of the opposite foot.
