Michelle Kwan is an American figure skater who is widely regarded as one of the greatest figure skaters of all time. She is a nine-time U.S. national champion, five-time world champion, and three-time Olympic medalist. Kwan won her first U.S. national title in 1996 and went on to win eight more titles, making her the most decorated figure skater in U.S. history. She also won five world championships and three Olympic medals, including a silver medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics. Kwan retired from competitive skating in 2006 and has since become a public speaker and advocate for various causes.
