The Sioux Indian is a Native American tribe that is composed of several different sub-tribes, including the DAKOTA, Otoe, Lakota, Ponca, CROW, Omaha, Osage, and Oto. The DAKOTA are the largest of the Sioux sub-tribes and are located in the Dakotas, Minnesota, and Nebraska. The Otoe are located in Oklahoma and Nebraska. The Lakota are located in South DAKOTA, North DAKOTA, and Montana. The Ponca are located in Nebraska and Oklahoma. The CROW are located in Montana and Wyoming. The Omaha are located in Nebraska and Iowa. The Osage are located in Oklahoma and Kansas. The Oto are located in Oklahoma and Nebraska. The Dakotan is a term used to refer to all Sioux Indians.
