The Otoes are a Siouan-speaking Native American tribe that historically lived in the Great Plains region of the United States. They were one of the many tribes of the Sioux Nation, and their traditional territory included parts of Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri. The Otoes were known for their skill in hunting buffalo and their ability to survive in the harsh environment of the Great Plains. Today, the Otoes are federally recognized and have a reservation in Oklahoma.
