George Singer Strait is an American country music singer, songwriter, actor, and music producer. He is known for his neotraditionalist country style, cowboy look, and being one of the first and most prominent artists in the neo-traditional country movement. He has had more than 30 number one hits on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and has sold more than 70 million records worldwide. He is also known for his philanthropy, having founded the George Strait Charities.
