Singer Sophie TUCKER was an American singer, comedian, actress, and radio personality. She was known as the 'Last of the Red Hot Mamas' and was one of the most popular entertainers of the early 20th century. She was also a civil rights activist and was one of the first African-American women to become a successful entertainer. TUCKER's career spanned over 50 years and she was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1989.
