Pete Seeger was an American folk singer and songwriter who was a prominent figure in the mid-20th century folk music revival. He was known for his political activism and his work with the Weavers, a folk group that popularized many traditional songs. He also wrote or co-wrote many songs, including 'Where Have All the Flowers Gone?' and 'Turn! Turn! Turn!' Seeger was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.
