Singer Buddy HOLLY was an American musician, singer-songwriter and record producer who was a central figure of mid-1950s rock and roll. He is best known for his influential recordings such as 'THAT'll Be the Day', 'Peggy Sue' and 'Oh Boy'. His style of music was a combination of country, jazz, blues, and pop. He was one of the first musicians to popularize the electric guitar. He died tragically in a plane crash in 1959 at the age of 22.
