Short measure is a term used to describe a unit of measurement that is relatively small. The term can be broken down into three parts: INCH (4 letters), MIL (3 letters), and LITTLELEAGUE (12 letters). An INCH is a unit of length equal to one twelfth of a foot, or 2.54 centimeters. A mil is a unit of length equal to one thousandth of an INCH, or 0.0254 millimeters.
