Shavuot, also known as Pentecost, is a Jewish holiday that occurs on the sixth day of the Hebrew month of Sivan. It is celebrated for seven days and commemorates the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai. Shavuot is also known as the Festival of Weeks, as it marks the end of the seven-week counting period between Passover and Shavuot.
