Shape-changing protozoa, also known as amoebae, are single-celled organisms that can change their shape and move around in their environment. They are found in a variety of habitats, including freshwater, soil, and marine environments. Amoebae have no fixed shape and can move by extending and retracting pseudopods, or false feet. They feed on bacteria and other small organisms, and reproduce by splitting in two.
