Shane Star Alan Ladd was an American actor and film producer who had a successful career in Hollywood from the 1940s to the 1960s. He starred in many classic films such as 'The Great Gatsby', 'Shane', and 'The Big Country'. He won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in 'The Bad and the Beautiful' in 1952. He was also known for his roles in westerns, such as 'Shane' and 'The Proud Rebel'. He was posthumously inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1967.
