Shakespeare's tragedy MACBETH, which has seven letters, is a play about the ambitious Scottish nobleman MACBETH and his wife Lady MACBETH. OTHELLO, also with seven letters, is a tragedy about the Moorish general OTHELLO, who is manipulated by his ensign Iago into believing that his wife Desdemona is unfaithful. OTHELLO's jealousy leads him to murder Desdemona, only to realize too late that he was deceived. Both plays are considered among Shakespeare's greatest works.
