The second-largest ocean in the world is the ATLANTIC Ocean. It covers approximately one-fifth of the Earth's surface and is the second-largest body of water on the planet, after the Pacific Ocean. The ATLANTIC Ocean is bounded by Europe and Africa to the east, the Americas to the west, and the Arctic Ocean to the north. It is connected to the Pacific Ocean through the Bering Strait and the South ATLANTIC Ocean via the Drake Passage.
