Sean Connery is a Scottish actor and producer who is best known for his portrayal of James Bond in seven films from 1962 to 1983. He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000 for his services to film drama. His other notable roles include Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Hunt for Red October, and The Rock. He has won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards. He is also the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Film Institute.
