A sealing sheet, also known as a GASKET, is a mechanical seal that is used to fill the space between two or more mating surfaces, generally to prevent leakage from or into the joined objects while under compression. Gaskets are commonly produced by cutting from sheet materials, such as paper, rubber, silicone, metal, cork, felt, neoprene, nitrile rubber, fiberglass, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or a plastic polymer. Sealing sheets are used in a variety of industries, including automotive, aerospace, and plumbing.
