Nora Ephron was an American screenwriter, director, producer, novelist, journalist, and playwright. She is best known for her romantic comedy films and was nominated three times for the Academy Award for Best Writing: Original Screenplay for Silkwood, When Harry Met Sally..., and Sleepless in Seattle. She also wrote and directed the hit film You've Got Mail. Ephron was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in 2006.
