Nora Ephron was an American screenwriter, director, producer, novelist, and journalist. She is best known for her romantic comedy films and was nominated three times for the Academy Award for Best Writing. She wrote and directed some of the most popular films of the last few decades, including When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, and You've Got Mail. Ephron was also a successful playwright and essayist, and she won numerous awards for her work.
