The Screen ACTORS Guild (SAG) is a labor union representing over 160, 000 film and television ACTORS worldwide. It was founded in 1933 to protect the rights of ACTORS and to ensure fair wages and working conditions. The SAG also provides health and pension benefits for its members. The union is responsible for negotiating contracts with producers and distributors, as well as providing support services such as legal advice and financial assistance.
