Paul Muni was an American actor who starred in the 1932 film Scarface. He was born in Austria-Hungary and immigrated to the United States in the early 1900s. He was a successful stage actor before he made his film debut in 1927. He won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in the 1936 film The Story of Louis Pasteur. He is best remembered for his role as Tony Camonte in Scarface, which was a major success at the time.
