Ibn Saud, also known as Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud, was the first monarch of Saudi Arabia and the third Saudi state. He was born in Riyadh in 1876 and reigned from 1902 until his death in 1953. He is credited with unifying the four regions of the Arabian Peninsula and establishing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932. He was succeeded by his son, King Saud.
