Sacred texts are texts that are held in high regard by a particular religion or spiritual belief system. The four most common sacred texts are the BIBLE, the TORAH, the KORAN, and SCRIPTURE. The BIBLE is the Christian holy book, containing both the Old and New Testaments. The TORAH is the Jewish holy book, containing the five books of Moses. The KORAN is the Islamic holy book, containing the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. Lastly, SCRIPTURE is a general term for any holy book or text.
